I'll be taking this mountain bike guy which will be heavy but nothing I won't be able to handle/ haven't been able to handle. I plan on starting in Stone Harbor to see one ocean before departing to San Fran to see the other ocean. Plans for departure are for mid May shortly after my birthday and one of my best friend's Josh. Hopefully the hangover won't linger for too long afterward.
There is a designated bike trail known as the TransAmerican Trail which stretches all the way to the midwest. Some 2,000 miles thataway in Colorado, I'll break off from the Trans-American trail onto what's known as "The Western Express". My biggest problem will be getting from Cape May to Yorktown, Virgina but after that, it's (mostly) smooth-sailing.
I plan on camping throughout the trail on people's property (if allowed) or on campsites/whatever's cheapest and easiest to do. I got lots of bags on my bike to hold clothes, my phone, computer, a knife (0.o), food, a few extra tire tubes, a helmet, a notebook, toothpaste, and all that good stuff.
